Dr. Cijo Alex is a Consultant Psychiatrist with more than 5 years of experience in mental health. In addition to his academic and clinical responsibilities at Poyanil Hospital, he is a regular columnist in various online and print media. After his UG and PG studies from Tribhuvan University and Pondicherry University respectively, he underwent TMS training from Maastricht University, Netherlands. He is a life member of both the Indian Medical Association and the Indian Psychiatric Society. He has more than five articles across indexed national and international journals. Also, he is the author of popular PG textbook series – PG notes in PSYCHIATRY, which is currently in its second edition. His areas of interest include old age psychiatry, substance abuse and neuropsychiatry.
